<a href="https://universaladventures.in/city/Nainital" target="_blank">Nainital</a> is a hill station located in the Himalayas in the state of Uttarakhand. It is at an elevation 2000 metres above sea level and is home to Lake Nainital around which this beautiful city was built.The city is surrounded by mountains of which the highest are Naina Peak (2,615 m) on the north, Deopatha (2,438 m ) on the west, and Ayarpatta (2,278 m ) on the south. Nainital offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayas and the surrounding ridges. Its name comes from the Hindu goddess Naina Devi and is often referred to as the Lake district of Uttarakhand. It occasionally receives snowfall and is home to many resorts. It is one of the few rare hill stations that attract tourists round the year but the ideal time to visit is March to June.

Built by the British as a residence for the Governor of then North West Province of India, the Raj Bhawan is one of the most recommended places to visit in Nainital.It is Spread over 200 acres of land, this place is famous for its Golf Course which is counted as one of the vintage golf courses of India and many golf tournaments are organized here.The Raj Bhawan remains closed on Sundays and all other national holidays. The Observatory came into existence at Varanasi on 20th April, 1954.
