About the Gudibande Day Trek:

  • The pickup spots at varying timings include BMC Indiranagar, Domlur Sky Walk, Sapphire Toys at Richmond Road and Esteem Mall, Hebbal.
  • The transport will reach base camp, where the guide will greet trekkers. This will be followed by packing lunches, after which the trek will commence.
  • The trek features rocky and unlevel terrain with a gradual ascent to reach the fort and is suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers.
  • The trek passes through picturesque landscapes of agriculture, villages, and rocky hills. One can reach the fort in 2-3 hours at a leisurely pace.
  • The highlight of the trek is the Gudibande Fort, or the Surasadmagiri Fort, located on the highest peak. It is believed to have been built by local chieftains. 
  • The region provides a bird-watching experience, accompanied by scenic panoramic views of the Chikkaballapur district and the distant Nandi hills on the trek.
  • Descent from the spot will begin post-lunch in the afternoon. After reaching the base camp, the mode of transport aboard trekkers will set off for Bangalore.
