About the Khauli Pass:

  • Khauli Pass, which is located at an elevation of 3750 meters, is one of those abandoned treks. It was once lovely, but when "progress" swept in, man-made structures took their place, and the walk was forgotten. The primary portion of the walk, however, is surprisingly unaltered and continues to be a beautiful route with green plants and grass.
  • From the pass, you can see snow-capped peaks like Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, and Indrasan, as well as green meadows that are covered in snow for at least six months out of the year, on the opposite side of the pass from the Hurla Nala.
