The Exact Teesta River Rafting location is in Melli which is located 7 KM upstream from Teesta Bazaar. 

There are two variants in the Package: 

1. River rafting (Short Trip):

2. River Rafting (Long-Trip)

• 7th Mile to Labarbotay Rafting
• 60 mins of Rafting
• 5 pax can sit in a boat
• 7 Rapids 

The Minimum Age to take part in Teesta River Rafting is 5 years. However, they won't be allowed in high volume rapids. 

The Timeslot for doing River Rafting at Teesta is from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM and the activity lasts for 30 minutes to 1 hour depending upon the Package.

It is permitted for a man or woman who weigh less than 90 Kg.

The Teesta River flows 315 km from its source in the Japanese Himalayas in Chunthang, Sikkim, and it is a tributary of the Brahmaputra River.

In a stunning natural setting, the Teesta River is a well-known river rafting site that provides rafting through narrow canyons and whitewater rapids.

Before you start on a river rafting trip , make sure to keep the necessary medicine, repellants, lotion and sunscreen such as inhalers, bee sting kits, mosquito repellants, and lotions and sprays, etc. in a dry carry bag.

The Main Season for river rafting is between April and October when there are fewer heat waves of the sun. Though, winters can make the water extremely cold, so, it is advised to dress up in layers. 

It is recommended to wear in layers while participating in any water sport, especially rafting, since this will give you the flexibility to add or remove clothing as needed. Dressing with synthetic materials like wool and polyester is also a smart idea. You'll stay warm even after your rafting trip with this.

ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.

For safety purposes, this Teesta river rafting activity is not recommended for women who are more than 3 months pregnant, anyone who has had major surgery, or has a broken leg/arm, has chronic back or neck pains, etc.

Avoid consuming heavy food or alcoholic beverages before and after the Teesta river rafting activity.

River Rafting (Short Trip) Costs INR 4000 per boat which includes 30 minutes of rafting and River Rating (Long-Trip) costs INR 5000 per boat and it includes 1 hour of River Rafting which will become a fruitful experience that you may cherish for a lifetime.   

By Air: The nearest airport is Bagdogra International Airport(IXB). Travellers can hire a taxi from Bagdogra to reach Teesta Bazaar from where they can easily reach their destination.

By Road: You can first reach Darjeeling and then via taxi or shared jeep, you may head to Teesta Bazaar to further move towards your destination.

By Train: New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station(NJP) is the nearest railway station to Teesta Bazaar from where you can head towards your destination.
