Scuba Diving in Udupi (Kapu Beach)

Health and Fitness:

• There are certain Medical Conditions you must be aware of while indulging in Scuba Diving at Kapu, i.e. 1) Respiratory Conditions 2) Cardiovascular Conditions 3) Ear and Sinus Disorders, etc. 
• Once you are at the Scuba Dive Centre you will have to fill up a Medical Report and let the instructor know beforehand if have any particular medical issues.

Safety Gear:

• Scuba Diving in Kapu requires different specialised equipment so will make sure that all equipment is in good working order and fits you properly so you don't have to worry about it at all. 

Age Limits:

• For safety purposes, there are certain age restrictions when it comes to Scuba Diving, so anyone who is below 10 years of age cannot participate in Scuba Diving activity as it affects the eardrums of the child.
• For Island Trips or Snorkeling, there is such an age limit but persons below 18 years of age should be accompanied by their guardian and should have filled out an indemnity form duly signed by Guardian.

Safety Briefings:

• Before each dive, you will receive a safety briefing, which includes information about the dive site, entry and exit procedures, hand signals, and what to do in case of emergencies.
• It is important to pay close attention to the briefing and ask questions if anything is unclear. 

Advance Booking:

• It's important to plan and make reservations in advance because the slots are very limited. Make sure to double-check our timings of operation and policies beforehand so that you don't face any issues further.

Weather Conditions:

• Keep in mind that Scuba Diving activity may be affected by adverse weather conditions such as high winds, rain, or thunderstorms. So, activity may get postponed or cancelled in such circumstances so be prepared.

Dive with Buddy:

• One of the best safety measures for Scuba Diving is to always dive with a partner, it's helpful to have another person with you as an extra set of eyes and hands, as well as an extra regulator in case of an emergency.

Alcoholic Restrictions:

• Drinking before a dive carries several risks, including nitrogen narcosis, heat loss, impaired judgement, slower reaction time, attention span, and visual tracking. Therefore, it is crucial to avoid consuming alcohol before engaging in Scuba Diving, if someone is found to be drunk will not be allowed for the activity and hence no refund will be given.

Respect Marine Life:

• It is essential to avoid touching, collecting, or bothering marine life. Respecting the underwater environment means not disturbing coral reefs or other fragile ecosystems. By touching them, you remove their natural protection, and the fish become vulnerable to contamination.

• Once you have pre-booked a slot you will receive an email confirmation with a confirmation call from our team with a WhatsApp message including Centre Location, Timing, Point of Contact and Payment Conditions.
