About the Sar Pass:

  • The Sar Pass journey, which is set against a backdrop of spectacular Himalayan peaks draped in snow, traverses through a variety of breathtaking scenery, from forests to meadows to ice sheets. While climbing from Tila Lotni to Biskeri Ridge, one must pass through a tiny, frequently frozen lake known as "Sar" in Himachal's local language. Sar Pass gets its name from this. The road winds through dense forest and leads to an icy paradise that is both beautiful and fascinating.
  • Sar Pass, perched at 13,800 feet above sea level, offers the elegance of gorgeous lush green meadows, snow-covered trails with the white tall peaks of the Indian Himalayas and dense forests of Pine, Deodar and rhododendron making it the perfect place for nature lovers and also adds on a bit of adventure. A place filled with rich vegetation and serene views wherever one looks is a perfect family trip or even solo and perfect to dive into the dreamlike mountaineer lifestyle.

About the Sar Pass Trek from Kasol Base Camp:

  • We will start our journey with our arrival at this beautiful village called Kasol village while we trek through scenic beauty and evergreen forests to reach Grahan village with the company of Parvati River and Grahan Nallah.
  • The next day, another exciting trail awaits us as we make our way to Min Thach with glistering views of Chanderkhani and Nagaru to keep us by.
  • Today we will get some of the most spectacular views on the trek as we make it at a flatland on top of the hill called Nagaru and be mesmerised by the most majestic panoramic views of Parvati valley, Chanderkheni ranges, Beas valley and more.
  • The big day is finally here as we will be finally reaching Sar pass and be amazed by the breathtakingly beautiful sight of the Tosh Valleys, and majestic snow-covered peaks all around you with the "Sar" or frozen pond at the height of 13,800 ft, all for us to enjoy till we trek down to Biskeri.
  • The last trekking day has finally come upon us as we trek through a steep path by the side of a stream across bridges over the Parvati River to reach Barshaini, our last trekking destination. From there we will take on a scenic drive back to Kasol and conclude our mesmerising trek.
