About Paragliding in Manali:

  • The entire adventure takes around 30 Mins from start to completion. The airtime is around 8 to 15 minutes.
  • Arrive at the Dobhi paragliding counter on Kullu Manali Highway. Get picked up & embark on an interesting jeep journey to the peak of around 8000 ft. which is the take-off area.
  • Arrive at the take-off point where you will have a small session for safety instructions and you will have to fill up a form citing your health status so that it is assured that you are fit for paragliding. 
  • You will be given safety equipment and prepared for the flight from a height of 8000ft above sea level. The instructor and pilot will be there constantly motivating you and helping you conquer your fears and safety devices will be strapped onto you by the expert.
  • You will have to run for a few meters on the edge of the hill and the paraglider will finally take off. The pilot will be flying with you and adjusting the glider to the direction of the wind and keep you safe.
  • Take off from Manali's best paragliding point and catch a breathtaking glimpse of the powerful Himalayan tiers all around while soaring high in the sky.
  • The pilot will help you land safely. Once you land safely, you will be transferred to the place of take-off.

  • By Train: The nearest railway station in Manali is the Joginder Nagar Railway Station(JDNX) and it is well-connected to Manali from all the major cities in the country.

You can have beautiful videos shot from Go-Pro or DSLR cameras for some unique memories but these are not included in the Package. You will have to pay additional charges for them. 

What Risks are associated with Paragliding?

There are certain risks associated with the Activity. Risks include becoming lost, falling from a height, encountering terrible weather, being sucked up into a cloud, and so on. Women with more than three months of pregnancy are strictly prohibited from doing Paragliding.
