About the Kuari Pass Trek from Haridwar:

  • Get a taste of spectacular mountain scenery on the first day of the hike. As you ascend, you'll be greeted with a magnificent vista of enormous peaks that will follow you all the way. The true draw of this walk is the up-close and intimidating vistas of the Himalayas, which can be found at Kuari Pass Top.
  • The 12,516-foot hike also gives you views of Dronagiri, Chitrakantha, Chaukhamba, and Tali peaks. The intermingling of meadows and beautiful forests of oaks makes your path picturesque. During the trek, you can also enjoy breathtaking views of sacred rivers like Bhagirathi and Alakananda, which makes the climb all the more enjoyable.


About the Kuari Pass trek:

  • The journey begins from Haridwar as we travel to Joshimath and spend the night there in a hotel.
  • The real trek starts the next day, as we trek to Dhak Village after breakfast. We will spend some time there in the peaceful village and resume the journey to Gulling, which is our base camp for the night.
  • After breakfast, we will trek to Tail campsite which is 5 km from the Gulling, and spend the night there surrounded by beautiful views.
  • The next day is the day when we will trek to our main location, Kuari Pass. Once we reach there the views are exotic and spell bounding and we will enjoy the moments capturing the views.
  • Then we descend to Joshimath via Auli and stay overnight there.
  • The next day we depart for Haridwar and the journey comes to an end.

  • By Air: The closest airport to Haridwar, Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is used. Dehradun is accessible via direct flight, as well as connecting flights from major cities throughout India. 
  • By Train: The Haridwar Junction Railway Station (IR station code: HW) is well-connected by train, with regular trains to Dehradun (4-5 hours) (1 hour other trains go every day to Rishikesh.
  • By Road: Haridwar is well-connected by road to all major cities and towns, allowing people to travel by bus to Haridwar according to their preferences and comfort. Haridwar is connected by a well-developed network of roadways.
