About the Kuari Pass:
- On the very first day of the hike get a taste of spectacular mountain scenery that will be throughout our trek. As you ascend, you'll be greeted with a magnificent vista of enormous peaks that will follow you all the way. The true draw of this walk is the up-close and intimidating vistas of the Himalayas, which can be found at Kuari Pass Top.
- The 12,800 ft hike also gives you views of the Dronagiri, Chitrakantha, Chaukhamba, and Tali peaks. The intermingling of mesmersing Himalaya meadows called Bugyals and beautiful forests of oaks makes your trail breathtakingly beautiful. During the trek, you can also enjoy breathtaking views of sacred rivers like Bhagirathi and Alakananda, and interact with local and remote communities of Gwarhal Uttarakhand and enjoy their cultures/traditions and cuisine.
About the Kuari Pass Trek from Rishikesh:
- The journey begins with an exciting note as we get on a scenic drive of about 255 km which will take around 9-10 hours to reach Joshimath.
- Our trekking journey begins the next day, first with yet another scenic drive toTugasi/Karcho after breakfast. After exploring this peaceful village, our trekking begins to reach Gulling, which is our base camp for the night.
- The next day after breakfast, an exciting trek is ahead of us as we make our way to Khulara, our trail will be lush green filled with oak and pine trees and hold majestic views of Kamet, Nanda Devi, Dunagiri, Haath-Ghori and Neelkanth.
- The next day is a big day for us as we will trek to our main location and our final climb, Kuari Pass. Excellent opportunity to witness the mesmerising sunrise of the Himalayas as we trek and get bewitching 360-panoramic views of the Himalayas from the top.
- Our trekking down journey will begin the next day as we descend to Tugasi while exploring the remote villages of Garwhal Uttarakhand like Karcho or Karachi while our trail is surrounded by Pine and Oak forests mostly. After arriving at Tugasi and resting, we will hop on drive back to Joshimath.
- The final day of our journey has come and we are ending it on the same note as we began it with, a scenic drive to Rishikesh to end our journey.

Know before you book
- It takes some time to acclimatize to high altitudes because the climate there is different from that in the lowlands.
- During any calamities or natural disasters, the guides maintain total control over the route.
- Children under the age of 15 should always have a supervisor with them at all times.
- The instructor reserves the right to reject any participant deemed unfit to be part of the activity.
- The activity might be delayed or postponed due to weather conditions. In such a scenario, please communicate with your trek coordinator.
- Participants with Diabetic issues, heart problems, breathing problems, high blood pressure, epilepsy, etc should be extra cautious about their health.
- Participants with liver or kidney issues should be careful.
- Participants must pay attention to the guidelines given by the guide during the trek.
- Avoid consuming heavy food or alcoholic beverages.
- Drink efficient water and walk slowly, no need to rush.
- Guidelines issued by the respective Government are to be followed. Social distancing is to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and the use of masks are recommended.
- ID proof is mandatory for each guest at the time of booking and upon arrival.
- Carry enough winter garments as well as hiking gear such as hiking boots, backpacks, neck warmers, etc.
- If participants feel unwell at any moment they should contact the guide and not avoid or push themselves.
- To protect the ecological stability of our travel places avoid plastic bags and do not pollute the campsites or nearby sites.
- Mobile connection and computer charging points may or may not be available on all campsites at all times.
- Bring enough water and snacks to keep yourself hydrated and full throughout the trek.
- Carry minimum luggage, the more you have, the more trouble.
- An additional cost of transportation from Haridwar Railway Station to other locations is available on request.
