About Kedartal:
- The Kedartal trek is for thrill seekers which is intended for hikers who wish to push themselves. It's been a difficult journey, but the reward for all the struggle has been utterly stunning. Hike to the glacier lake Kedartal, which sits in the midst of a vast mountain cauldron. In this cauldron, our country's famous mountains loom before your eyes: Mount Thalaysagar, Mt Bhrigupanth, Manda Parvat, Mt Jogin, and Mt Gangotri. You camp out beneath the beautiful Mount Thalaysagar and Mt Bhrigupanth.
- Kedartal Trek represents not only the scenic look of a high-altitude alpine lake but also a form of spiritual guidance. Hiking through this region allows adventurers to obtain a profound understanding of the natural splendour. Among the numerous popular trekking activities in Uttarakhand, the Kedartal trek is one of the greatest Himalayan adventures.
About the Kedartal trek:
- The adventure begins in Dehradun, where we travel to Gangotri and spend the night. We may tour the area and have joy there.
- We start the first trekking journey from Gangotri to Bhojkharak where we will camp at night. The trekking route is beautiful and peaceful.
- The next day, after breakfast, we will trek to Kedar Kharak where the path is rough and steep. As we reach Kedar Kharak we will camp there overnight and enjoy the starry night sky.
- The following day we will trek to the dream destination of trekkers, Kedartal. The hike is difficult but entertaining and as we climb, certain ranges are visible from the trek route and after trekking for some time before reaching the destination. We will spend some time there and trek back to Kedar Kharak and stay there overnight.
- On day five, we trek back to Gangotri via the same route and spend the night there at the base camp.
- On the last day of the trekking journey, we return to Dehradun from Gangotri and that's the wrap of our amazing journey.

How to reach Gangotri:
- By Rail: The nearest train station to Gangotri is Rishikesh, which is located 234kilometerss north of Gangotri on NH58 and is well connected to major Indian cities via the railway network. Taxis and buses are available to Gangotri from Rishikesh, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarkashi, and other areas.
- By Air: The nearest airport to Gangotri is Jolly Grant Airport, which is about 250kilometerss away. This airport is well connected to Delhi, with daily flights to the capital connecting to key parts of the country.
- By Road: Gangotri is only accessible by road in a bus, privately operated jeeps, SUVs, or other vehicles. It takes roughly 12 hours to travel from Rishikesh. Taxis and Jeeps are also available at Taxi Stations in Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun. From Dehradun/Rishikesh, tourist cabs are available.

By Air:Jolly Grant Airport(DED) is 22 KM southeast of Dehradun and is well connected domestically and has regular flights from major cities. Then you may take a taxi to reach anywhere in the city.
By Road:Dehradun is well-connected to the major destinations in India via NH 72. Regular buses ply from ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Delhi to Dehradun.
By Train:Dehradun Terminal Railway Station(DDN) serves the city excellently connecting it with cities like- Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Kolkata, etc. Then you may hire a taxi or an autorickshaw.
