About Kedarkantha Peak:
- At a height of 12,500 feet, Kedarkantha is a mountain peak decorating the greater Himalayas, a component of the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary and the object of many people's dreams. Kedarkantha Trek's best time is considered to be during the winter months when you can see nature at its most beautiful deliverance.
- This is a moderate trek with a picturesque landscape that includes snowy routes, oak forests, a group of snow-covered mountains Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag, and Ranglana and the mythical whispers of nature. Spending the night in the company of the starry skies is ethereal.
About Kedarkantha Trek 2024:
- Reach Dehradun Railway Station between 07 AM and 08 AM and get picked up by a Traveler. Receive warm greetings from our personnel and start your 7 to 8 Hours journey towards Sankri which you will reach by 5:00 PM.
- After reaching Sankri, our expert guide will welcome you with hot tea. After a rest of one hour, they will give you all the necessary guidelines for a trek and provide you with all the safety equipment.
- The Trek guide will update you with itineraries according to the package you have selected like 3N/4D, 4N/5D, 5N/6D and with things you will have to carry during the entire trek route.
- The following day, we will travel from Sankri to Juda ka Talab, where we will spend the night by pitching our tents beneath the starry night sky and will have food with hot water.
- After the morning breakfast, we will set out towards Kedarkantha Trek Base which is at an altitude of 11,250 feet. Tents will be set up upon reaching the Base and spent overnight there.
- The following day, start your day with a filling breakfast and the most awaited moment calls you. We will hike to a height of 12,500 feet to top Kedrakantha Peak and then descend to Hargaon Camp or Juda ka Talab & then we will descend to Sankri.
- This will be a leisure day in Sankri so you can rest and explore the Sankri market and the next day we will be travelling back to Dehradun after a fun-filled Kedarkantha Trek Distance.

Know before you book
- Prepare yourself for the Kedarkantha Trek Distance by performing certain muscle exercises and walking or jogging on similar terrains with your backpacks so that you may avoid sudden injuries during the Trek.
- During any natural calamities or emergencies, the Kedarkantha Trek may be cancelled. The next program will be duly communicated.
- Keep yourself hydrated and conserve water due to the high altitude.
- Do not encourage midnight hikes unless they are part of a programme and under the supervision of the Guide. This can lead to unexpected troubles.

- Avoid using plastic bags to protect the ecosystems of the routes you would be travelling through.
- If you decide to cancel your hike, you must notify us in advance.

- While camping, electricity may not be available at every location. You may carry the necessary devices such as Power Bank, etc.

By Road:Dehradun is well-connected to the major destinations in India via NH 72. Regular buses ply from ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Delhi to Dehradun.
By Train:Dehradun Terminal Railway Station(DDN) serves the city excellently connecting it with cities like- Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Kolkata, etc. Then you may hire a taxi or an autorickshaw.

How difficult is Kedarkantha trek?
The Trek lies in the easy-to-moderate range of difficulty levels. In winter, the snowy paths might obstruct your passage. You'll need appropriate footwear to navigate the paths. The first snowfall at Kedarkantha Peak is witnessed either in the first week of December or by mid-December. Is there any Age limit to try out Trekking?
Ideally, you should be at least seven (7) years old and not more than sixty (60) years old to be considered a physically fit person for the Kedarkantha Trek. If you are over 60 years old, you need to make sure that you are physically fit to acclimatise to the cold weather and trek to a height of 12,500 feet; only then will your participation be accepted.
It's not convenient for me to be dropped -off at Dehradun, so, I want to be dropped-off at some other location. Is it possible?
Yes, you can be dropped off in other cities from Dehradun for some additional charges. As our Package includes drop-off only up to Dehradun.

- Trek from Dehradun to Dehradun: It costs INR 7,499 per person and includes all the services and amenities as in Variant 1, with the only difference being that transfer services from Dehradun to Dehradun are available in place of transfer services from Sankri to Sankri( in Variant 1).
Meals are a part of the Package. Are we served non-vegetarian cuisines?
No, the meals do not include non-vegetarian foods. The Package is inclusive of meals on all days of the Trek. However, any other meal will be at your expense.

For the Kedarkantha trek, you need to reach Sankri, a beautiful village in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand that is located approximately 200 kilometres from Dehradun. Sankri is the starting point of the trek, from where we head to Juda ka Talab, the magnificent lake in the lap of the Himalayan Mountains, and it is also the first camping site. From here, we ascend to the Kedarkantha Base Camp and then ultimately to the Summit. Trust us! This is going to be one of the best experiences of your life.

Trek's starting point is Sankri, which is nearly 200 kilometres from Dehradun. If you are ready to head from Dehradun, your pickup timing will be between 6:30 AM & 08:30 AM to further travel to Sankri. So, be available on time so that you reach Sankri by 5:00 PM. Sometimes, due to the bumpy and rough trails, it may take more time to reach Sankri.
