About Auli Trek Uttarakhand:

  • Since Lord Curzon traveled to the Kwari-pass in 1905, the walk is known as the "Curzon Trail." Shipton and Tilman traveled over the Kuari Pass to reach the Rishi Gorge, and other mountaineers used the same path to reach the peaks along the Indo-Tibetan boundary. It is also known as the Curzon Trail because it was used by the illustrious former Viceroy of India. The path was allegedly upgraded especially for Lord Curzon to be able to complete the hike. Lord Curzon was an avid trekker.
  • The journey to Kuari Pass was made by Lord Kurzon, and ever since, it has been referred to as Curzon's Trail. Travelers from Europe and the United States love it. Lord Curzon traveled from Ghat to Kuari Pass through Ramni in 1905. Nowadays, a lot of hikers prefer to go the other way around.
